Oracle Jinitiator 1182 Free Download For Windows 7 32 107
are you sure the problem is related to jinitiator and not the user’s web browser? a sun java client that was designed for older operating systems (windows 95 or nt) is not compatible with the most modern versions of web browsers. instead, the sun java client should be installed in your web browser for compatibility with java-enabled web applications. this client is called java web start.
but like i said, i have oracle jinitiator 126.96.36.199 and it is working fine. i even tried to set the jinitiator runtime parameter in the oas 9.0.4 runtime parameters file. but it still does the same thing. on the os i am running windows 7 and oas 9.4. so, it’s not the browser. this is the error message in the browser:
failed to find requested application. give a try if it resolves the problem!! give a try if it resolves the problem!!
i am not sure what the problem is, but i suspect it is something that is not related to oas, but rather something that’s happening with jinitiator itself. this problem goes away when i use the older version, 188.8.131.52.
its not a very big deal. it just means you have to start over with oracle application express v11.0. its still a very nice application though. ive been running oracle apex v11.0 on windows for some time now. i have been using jinitiator for over a year now, and i think that all of the new stuff in v11.0 is very good.
i usually don’t do this, but i thought that some of you might be interested in using a free beta of oracle java client for windows xp. it is called java 6 update 31. in my opinion, its a very good update. the problem is that it only supports the.net version of forms 10.1, and there are some issues with forms 10.2. i thought that java 6 update 31 might solve this problem, but it does not. i would be very interested to know if anyone who is using forms 10.2 can use this client.
if the message «jinit.dll not found» then you can install it: jinitiator is a java native interface that allows a java application to run in the browser with netscape navigator. it is a component of the netbeans platform and can be downloaded from the oracle jinitiator website. jinitiator requires the java plug-in for netscape navigator 3.01 or later. if you are using netscape 4.x or netscape communicator, you may have to upgrade. if you have the latest java plug-in installed, you may need to update it.
jinitiator is a java vm (virtual machine) that allows you to run client applications inside the web browser. if an oracle application can be accessed from the browser then we call it as a web based application, which means that jinitiator is a plug-in for the netscape navigator and different components of internet explorer and it is not able to replace or modify the jvm.
note: this tutorial is for developers, not for users. if you want to download jinitiator, try jinitiator 184.108.40.206. the main reason why oracle developed jinitiator was to support oracle forms on the web in older releases because of the bugs in the older releases of the jdk.
